Cool Ride

I didn't get one of these fancy bikes when I was a kid but it's nice to see that if you did have one it didn't automatically make you cool.

Um, Actually

A very clever idea which could become a decent TV game show or a really great bar game. The ideal game would have history, science, and literature in it. Then it could be just like watching a typical evening with me and my friends pouncing on each other's mistakes.

New Rectangular Box Living

Shipping container conversions have been popular for a while. People always seem amazed that a "small" rectangular box can become a living space even though the single wide trailer as a home has been mocked and looked down on for decades.

If this sort of creativity were used in modular home/trailer design there could be a revolution in affordable housing.

Part of that revolution should be building homes that last.

Current construction practices for almost all residential spaces is focused on the bottom line and making the sale. The long term aspects of the properties are rarely factored in as builders know buyers don't factor that in when making a purchase and most new home buyers won't stay in the home long enough for it to be an issue when it begins to fall apart.

Win Leonard Nimoy's Ears

Came across this on the Great Fa-Boo. Don't know it's original WWW source or it's original print source.

Artist Matt Wiley created some very clever posters that look like 1960s ads for Star Trek episodes and related elements in a series titled Star Trek Reimagined.

London Calling Time Lapse Video

Using the song London Calling when dealing with London isn't all that clever, but this video does so to good effect. It even nods towards the less than sunny lyrics of the upbeat sounding song. And it has images of people calling on their phones. Get it? They're calling in London!
